The removal of the old loose foam surround material from the woofer Removing speaker gasket from the speaker frame (basket) Scraping off old surround material and glue from woofer frame Removing the old foam surround material from speaker cone Cleaning speaker with rubbing alcohol Gluing the inside edge of the surround to the speaker cone Gluing the outside edge of the surround to the speaker frame Installing the speaker gasket
An alternative method of centering the speaker, which involves removing
the dust caps and using shims in the voice coil gap, is not shown in
this video but is described in the instructions that come with our
repair kits.
