Brown Speaker Grill Cloth Fabric

This brown open weave grill cloth is almost 100% acoustically transparent. It is 67 inches wide and is sold by the linear yard (36 inches). High quality polyester fabric Medium weight Has a bit of stretch Very transparent to sound & infrared (remote control signal) Comes on 67 inch wide rolls Sold by the linear yard (36 inches) Orders for more than one yard are sent as one continuous piece 67 inches wide Cloth is shipped folded, not on a roll Conforms to Federal Motor Vehicles Safety Standard No.302, Flammability of Interior Materials Orders for more than one linear yard of the same color will be sent as one piece. For example, a three linear yard piece will measure 108 inches (3 x 36 inches) by 67 inches. In most cases, a linear yard is enough to cover a pair of speakers.

I wanted to hide speakers under the package tray in my 1974 Fiat sedan project. This required a new package tray using 1/8-inch plywood, with holes for the speakers to blow through. I then covered the plywood with SpeakerWorks brown grille cloth. The fabric was easy to apply, with just enough stretch to get a clean, flat surface. SW gets a 9.5/10.  If they would have had the dark brown cloth, a 10 would be in order!  :)

The brown grill cloth from SpeakerWorks provided a welcome upgrade in appearance on the 40+ year-old Dynaco A-25s.  The color complements the walnut finish much better than the original off-white factory cloth. Rather than bother with the mess of gluing, we just tacked the cloth with 1/4-inch heavy-duty staples. So for under $25, we recovered 4 Dynaco A-25s. SpeakerWorks delivery was prompt. Well pleased.
