Repaired Optimus 77 August 16, 2024 Reviewer: Charles Claver from Tucson, AZ United States   I have used Speaker Works twice now to repair aging speakers - Infinity SS2001 and Optimus 77 bookshelf speakers.  The first repair was a bit intimidating at first but in the end was very successful and the Infinity speakers are now back in use in my home theater system.  The second fix on the Optimus 77s was much easier and, again, very successful.  These are now in use in my home office.  I had forgotten just how nice the 77s could sound. In both instances I ended finding some ceramic bowls of the right diameters to provide the weight for sealing and holding the surrounding place.  I would recommend this approach over multiple bolts or other object as indicated in the instructions.  Keeps things very well centered this way. I have recommended Speaker Works to others in similar situation with once very nice but aged speakers to repair rather than toss. Was this review helpful to you?

My installation of above product August 16, 2017 Reviewer: Gary Ownby from Camino, CA United States   High quality, excellent install instuctions, superior glue for the attachment. When I was done I couild not tell the difference between the newly repaired speaker and the old one which was still good. I purchased a piar of the kits in case I need to repair the other speaker as they are 20 years old. Bottom line is the new speaker sounds great and just as good as the old one. Great product, easy to install! August 1, 2015 Reviewer: Alan Viitala from Sudbury, ON Canada   I learned about rebuilding your speakers by online search and came across this site. Am I ever happy I did!! The process is very easy to follow and the parts fit well and the kit supplies you with everything you need to repair the surrounds on your speakers.
