Replaced surrounds in 15" JBL Woofers November 21, 2020 Reviewer: Nate Lee from Moorpark, CA United States   My friends had this nice pair of JBL L300 Summit speakers. The woofers had deteriorated surrounds. I ordered new surrounds from SpeakerWorks and received them within a few days. I read the good instructions carefully. I knew one of the speakers was going to be a challenge because I could tell one of the bobbins wanted to rub in the channel. The instructions addressed dealing with that problem as well essentially advising to apply pressure to pull the cone in a direction to eliminate the rubbing as the glue begins to set. After the glue started to set more I created a soft plastic ring about an inch wide from some shipping semi-firm foam and put it between the two speakers facing each other on a table to help them apply even weighted-pressure on each others surround as the glue dried. 15' speaker surround replacement September 15, 2017 Reviewer: John Beach from Stephentown, NY United States   This is the second time I have purchased a surround replacement from SpeakerWorks.  The products are excellent quality and the instructions are thorough. Perfect fit and easy to install February 2, 2017 Reviewer: Brian Mauter from Hoover, AL United States   My Optimus 990s sounded like crap and the foam surrounds had deteriorated badly.  I was skeptical that new foam surrounds would fix the issue, but for $10 per speaker, I figured it was worth a shot. New woofer surrounds March 12, 2015 Reviewer: Douglas Thorndike from Snohomish, WA United States   Most of my time was spent being a bit fussy cleaning off the old debris and glue.  New pieces were easy to install.  I took my time and the results look and sound great, with these rugged old nylon laminated cones. 15" Speaker Repair Kit SWK15A September 17, 2014 Reviewer: Jeffry Nickerson from Lansing, MI United States   Worked great.  Cone movement good and needed no adjustment.  Most difficult steps for me were cleaning off old material and keeping new surround in contact with cone with weights.
