Kit to repair one 12 inch speaker. Comes with 1 surround, instructions, can be ordered with or without adhesive, applicator brush, and phone or email technical support. Fits a speaker cone of 9-1/4" Works on angle attach speaker cones.

5 of 5 High Quality - Very Happy - Not Easy though! August 29, 2022

I fixed my sub-woofer! That said it was a little more difficult to do than I thought.  So I separated the  project into removal and clean up, gluing the inner edge to the cone, then the outer.   Cleaning I used a small wire wheel and my drill CAREFULLY - but it worked great for all of the factory adhesive.  Don't go overboard on the adhesive, I did, my speaker faces down, so no ugliness to be seen (does not impact the function.)  Finding items to hold the inner cone was a great suggestion, I did not do a good job of this, therefor I spent an hour watching glue dry and making sure it was adhered.  I used clothespins and the OEM protector to hold the outside.  This worked extremely well to check and make sure the cone was centered on install.  Definitely worth a try for the money.  Be patient process is pretty forgiving especially if you don't expect look perfect when you get done.  People posting pictures on Facebook have some awesome skills and have the process down!!!!

I've had my $500 12" BIC subwoofer and amp since the early 90's, but haven't used it in the past 10 years or so.. Recently I decided to put it back into service when I sadly discovered the surround had rotted away.

New speaker? Too expensive. Send it off for repair? Yeah, but still not cheap considering shipping costs each way.

That's when I thought, "Hey, can't I fix it myself?"

Bam! I found SpeakerWorks. The replacement surround I ordered turned out to be perfect for my BIC SW-12. The glue I also ordered was plenty for the job.

For my first surround replacement I got a little glue on places it wasn't needed, but everything turned out great regardless. Thanks to SpeakerWorks I have my subwoofer back in working order.

I had to cut these to fit but the results were great.  I much prefer to use rubber than foam surrounds, the ends bonded well with the supplied glue.

I received order and fixed speaker and was very pleased. I made  mistake by punching hole in the cone (smile) You do not sell cone so I had to get one from another place. I wish u would sell this do to I ordered wrong one and had problem return. I would send picture but it is in cabinet and I would have to take it apart. I thank u for all the help and very pleased on info u sent with speaker repair with out this I may had made another mistake.  (SMILE)
