Works for: Boston Acoustics A-40, A40, A40 series II, A-120, A-2, and other speakers.

We trim the outside edge of the surround to fit the speaker basket frame in our shop.

Fits unique Boston Acoustics speakers.

Kit to repair one 6 inch speaker. Comes with 1 foam surround, instructions, can be ordered with or without adhesive, applicator brush, and phone or email technical support. Fits a speaker cone of 4-3/4" inches. Works on angle attach speaker cones. This special kit fits the Boston Acoustics A40 speakers. We trim the outside edge of the surround to fit the speaker frame so you don't have to. If you prefer to trim the surround yourself you can purchase our SWK65

it was easier than I thought it would be but I did have to redo the surround to frame glue job because I didn't have the voicecoils centered.  But after softening the glue with water and using a fresh razorback, i was able to separate the surround and frame. Then after drying the moisture up I re-centered the voicecoil and re-glued the surround to the frame.  These 40 year old Boston Acoustics sound like new... resurrected right from the garbage. I would recommend they leave another 16th of an inch on the outside edge of the surround but this is the first time I have ever attempted this and got it right so maybe not.

The Subwoofer on my 20 year old Boston Acoustics PC speaker system had stopped working and after a bit of careful dismantling I discovered that the foam surround had disintegrated completely.  A replacement speaker could not be found so I thought it was going to be time to commit my system to the recycling bin.  Thanks Speakerworks you saved the day!  The repair kit fitted perfectly, the instructions were extremely comprehensive and guess what?  The woofer with its new foam surround is good as new.  Absolutely brilliant!!

I have some Boston Acoustic 6" book shelf speakers i bought back in 1988.  Over time the quality of sound went down.
I purchased the foam surround for each, and  installed them myself... The speakers sound like they are brand new again.
